Literature Text

My mind that was my enemy
I once was not a part of thee.
Strived to keep you up and running,
yet your demands were way too cunning.

Asked for everything,
all at once,
but gave me nothing
to fullfill your demands.

Now I'm weak,
now I'm rotten,
strength and muscles
long forgotten.

You keep dreaming about the way it was,
hope it's not too late to get back.
Then you realize how little time a day has
and hurry to work, for you might lose track.

As you got old far before you should,
you realize, that for you to put
a pen on a paper you need a hand,
this last strength to you I lent.

Your last words written on a piece of paper
'Sorry, I can't see you later.'

This be a warning for everyone it must,
throw yourself away and your life is lost.
I wrote this a while back, when I had to sit for hours despite my body aching.
This feeling of weakness bothered me, so I wrote this as a reminder to myself not to forget about the connection between body and mind.
And well, I thought I'd share this..

There is great pacing here and you've written very good emotion into it, I really like the message, I can definitely connect to it. Amazing writing!
